The title comes from a quotation by John Fogerty who said: "The Dobro...sometimes sounds like a barefoot boy going down the dirt road to the fishin' hole". Although this is a heavily synthesized backing, I still feel there's something of the barefoot boy here. The interesting thing technically is that this is not miked up - this is using a magnetic Lace resonator pickup which still somehow manages to keep the nasal tone of the acoustic instrument. Played through the Line6 "Instrument Tube Pre-amp" emulation, and then Liquid Mixed with a couple of antique tube processors to warm it up a bit.
