Drag Me Down

This is interesting. I set out to write something to which I could put some pedal steel like sounds, and ended up with a whole song - part of my "Betrayal of Trust" series.

The vocals are interesting - I used a "Rockabilly" preset off the Line6 module, and played about with the EQ, but left the slapback echo as is, hence the somewhat Elvis feel to the sound (if not the singing). I added a bit more reverb in the mix.

Track listing: EZDrummer standard kit with standard GrooveMonkees Country Shuffle grooves - TC reverb. Fender Jazz bass through Line6, Electric guitar, through Line6, Electric guitar through Behringer Acoustic simulator and then Line 6, Lap steel through Line 6 (and I used a Lexicon spring reverb on all the guitars). Halion piano, LinPlug organ, and backing vocals treated and harmonized (TC Electronic). Liquid Mix to taste.
